Criteria
Please note that only research articles relevant to addiction and recovery will be accepted and Addictionology reserves the right to refuse articles for publication.
- If you have conducted research in South Africa that relates either directly or indirectly to the field of addiction and recovery you are invited to submit research articles.
- Only research that has been written up in the form of a research article will be accepted. Addictionology will not accept entire research reports/dissertations/theses.
Guidelines
- Research articles should be sent in a PDF format.
- Please indicate at which university/institution this research was authorised.
- All research articles can contain an author biography at the end of the article if you wish. This should contain:
- A description of the author/s
- Contact details (website or email) if you wish readers to contact you directly. If you do not wish to be contacted directly by readers Addictionology’s details will be provided for comment. These will then be sent to you to reply as you wish.
- Addictionology reserves the right to publish articles in the Newsletter issue that is most compatible to the nature of that article and dependant on the deadlines of the publications.
- Articles are to be written in an academic manner. i.e. Please do not speak in the first person “I”.
- Articles are to be referenced using the APA referencing style (or another recognised and appropriate referencing style)
