Asiboni Mbala C.H.A.N.G.E.S is an outpatient recovery centre that offers affordable, dignified treatment with less restriction than residential programmes. Day or evening outpatient programmes are available and both options allow you the space to heal and recover whilst you live at home, attend work, varsity or school.

The Biopsychosocial method of Outpatient recovery treatment was adopted by Sheryl Rahme from an international programme. She pioneered Outpatient Recovery Treatment in South Africa and designed and moulded the programme to suit South African needs and budgets. We believe that treatment should be accessible, affordable and that the client must take responsibility for their recovery whilst coping within their society. An assessment is performed to ascertain the client’s needs and if their profile fits the treatment programme.
If during the assessment or early treatment, a client needs more containment and or alternative treatment, then a responsible referral will be made.
Ideally if a client has a semblance of functionality, ability to hold down employment or attend to their studies, a strong family support structure and cannot leave their lives to attend treatment, then Outpatient Treatment may suit their needs very well. Many South Africans binge drink or use drugs and can go a while without chemicals yet feel tremendous shame and guilt when they do. They also do not understand what is wrong with them and do not know how to stop this vicious cycle. Outpatient treatment could be the solution!
